I’ve been a resident of Claremont, for the five years and during this time I’ve had the pleasure of exploring dining establishments in town. Allow me to share my 10 recommendations for the dining experiences in Claremont:

1. Bardot

This sophisticated bar and grill offers California cuisine paired with cocktails in an exquisite setting that includes a charming patio area. While their menu changes seasonally some of my favorites include the mouthwatering cauliflower served with tahini sauce the perfectly pan seared salmon accompanied by roasted vegetables and their irresistible chocolate lava cake.

2. Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant

Known for its family style servings of dishes this chain restaurant boasts a whimsical ambiance complete with red and white checkered tablecloths. With portions that easily satisfy a group outing I can’t get enough of their spaghetti and meatballs indulgent lasagna offerings and their divine tiramisu dessert.

3. Eureka! Claremont

This eatery exudes an energetic atmosphere while offering an extensive menu that caters to all tastes. From mouthwatering burgers and sandwiches, to satisfying pasta dishes and fresh seafood options. Personally I’m particularly fond of their signature Eureka! burger creation, their fish tacos bursting with flavor and their heavenly chocolate chip cookies.

4. The Back Abbey

A quintessential American bar and pub experience awaits at The Back Abbey where you’ll find a selection of beers on tap alongside a menu featuring American favorites.

I really enjoy the wings, nachos and mac and cheese.

5. Sanamluang Thai Cuisine

This Thai restaurant serves authentic Thai dishes in an atmosphere. I have a fondness, for the pad Thai, green curry and mango sticky rice.

6. WALTER’S RESTAURANT

At this seafood restaurant you can find a range of seafood options along with American and international cuisine. The lobster rolls, oysters and crème brûlée are my favorites.

7. Norms Restaurant

This chain coffee shop is 24/7. Offers generous portions of classic American food in a simple setting. I can’t get enough of their pancakes, omelets and all day breakfast options.

8. Some Crust Bakery

If you’re looking for baked breads, pastries and sandwiches this bakery has it all covered. Their croissants, muffins and sandwiches are absolutely delightful.

9. Le Pain Quotidien

As a bakery and café they offer an array of pastries salads and sandwiches to choose from. The quiche, monsieur (ham sandwich) and pain au chocolate (chocolate pastry) are some of my choices.

10. Last Drop Cafe

For your coffee fix along, with breakfast or lunch items this cafe has got you covered. Their latte is fantastic while their bagel and egg sandwich make for morning choices.
